Actually, 53. I rooted out all my To Be Read books today to take stock. I am, as I may have mentioned, a listmaker, so I wanted to be able to inventory the Books, Interrupted. I found them not only on the bookshelf, but in the garage, closets, under the bed, on the kitchen hutch, and on the floor beside the couch.

There are so many!

53 unread books. I used to read so much that I'd comb my bookshelves for something to re-read! I checked out 7-8 books every 2 weeks from the library.

Now, I'm declaring a moratorium on book-buying AND the libary. Horrors!

My To Be Read pile is like a phantom in the corner, haunting me while I write, while I blog and plog and research and toodle off to work. It's grown in my mind to something big and scary, a monster in the closet!

But they're all accounted for now. I've arranged them in order according to how bad I want to read them- no, seriously! I'm going to find a nice, quiet spot in the sun, brew some green tea, and read my way through the Great Wall of Books!
