Up late, up early

So Michelle and I were exhausted from finals yesterday and trying to get most of our stuff packed. We even went over to Subway to drop off some things in Rose's van since she was still there. We got supper and came back last night to study in the lounge with some friends. That didn't last long because we were having to much fun hanging out, but I did get to study for Religion. <br>We went back to the room and Michelle was going to take a shower and go to bed, but spent most of her time on the computer getting plane tickets for Ashton and her boyfriend Jesus to come back.... so we finally were ready to go to bed and we couldn't get to sleep... so we talked and tried to go to sleep and talked some more and I think we both finally got to sleep around 1:00 and woke up somewhere between 6 and 7. We both had finals at 8 and I just finished Religion. It wasn't too bad, but there were a lot of essay questions and it was really time consuming. Now I'm just waiting because I think Al is in a faculty meeting and I have to hunt him down to look at my work. I check out of my room at 10:30, so I have to make sure I'm back by then. If I can't hunt down Al, I will just leave my work and have him put it in my drawer in the studio. So, guess I should get hunting and then I'm home to pack and get ready for some MASSIVE RELAXATION!!!!!!!!!!!! BEEYAH!

looong dayyyyyyy

It was a long and tiring day of getting most of my stuff packed and finishing some finals and meetings. I was able to meet with Graciela for exiting counseling and I had a final at one. I also turned in my paper for Art History which was 7 pages.. woo hoo! I also met Al in the SAC, so I was able to set up a time for tomorrow meeting with him. I have my religion final at 8, so that will be WONDERFUL and then I am meeting Al as soon as I'm finished. I then have to be back in the room at 10:30 to check out with Steph, my RA. Then I should be on my way back home to pack!

Wonderful weather

I was supposed to have two finals out of the way today and classes were cancelled. Therefore, they are moved to Friday when I will obviously not be here! So I am trying to get everything set up so I can get in on Wednesday and if needed Thursday morning. Of course I need time to get any laundry done and get packing for NC, but if I need times on Thursday I'm trying to get them in the morning. The good thing is I was able to get my paper finished for Medieval Art, which is 7 pages, and finish all of my artwork for my art classes. Luckily I work tonight, so I don't have to stay in my room any longer!

Three days left!

After today's class I only have three days left of Clarke! Today I have Intro to Vis Language and am working on our presentation for Short Fiction. We aren't doing much in Vis Lang. except signing up times for our final. We are going to meet for 15 minutes with Al and discuss our work. Tomorrow, I have Religion and Color Theory. In Religion we are just finishing up work for our last readings and we are designing covers for our color books. Then next week I have to work on Monday. Tuesday I have Religion final at 1:00 and Wednesday Color Theory final at 1:00. For Art History, we have a take home test, a paper and we are just showing our movies for short fiction, but I am not going... we will be heading to Moline!!!! It should be fun! See everyone soon!

more stuff..

So far, I haven't gotten more info on my schedule.. I am trying to get full-time and need to add one more class, but can't get a hold of my advisor. I am going to go to NICC on Wednesday or Thursday to talk to someone otherwise I can't get anyone on the phone or email. We also tried out the bow last weekend at Grandma's and it was pretty good. It was decent outside with not much wind, so it was easier to try it out. I couldn't shoot that much because it's hard for me to get past that point on the bow, but I'm going to try to lift some weights and stuff! Hope you feel better soon Grandma! See everyone next week!!!!!!

Wow, I haven't done this in a long time... not much has happened since my last post; the mad Christmas rush with now being in December and students running around like chickens with their heads cut off because next week is finals week. School has been going alright, just trying to get through the last of it. I work tonight (Tuesday) and Saturday this week and am curious to see what I work next week since I will be back in NC for the weekend! WOO! I can't wait to be done with finals and be able to relax on vacation. It will be Oh so nice :)

Thursday Night

I had class early this morning and that went alright, but my second class wasn't the best. I had to present with my group for our short story and I stumbled over my words since I'm still sick and my part wasn't as long as my group members. So I was kind of bent out of shape because I knew I didn't do well on my presentation. Work was really good though, so now I feel better. I actually got to work on framing some work today instead of just learning how to input imfo in the computer. I framed a kid's picture, which was pretty easy. I also framed three senior pictures in the same frame. It went pretty good and I liked the work and even got to leave a little early.

Spring Classes

I signed up for my classes at NICC! I talked to one of the advisors and he suggested that I just go for an Associates Degree for Entrepreneurial Studies. There was not much open for classes required for the certificate, plus the classes that I took for my AA General Degree, will transfer over to this degree as well. So since I took Public Speaking and Composition II for my General AA, it will also count as completed for my E.S. degree! My Spring semester consists of, Psychology of Human Relations, Intermediate Algebra, and Principles of Advertising. I think I have a good schedule and I'm excited for them to start. I was also able to sign up for my summer classes too, which are Intro to Economics and Statistics. Now I just have to finish this semester, which isn't too much longer!

Sickly

So today was officially the "Most Unproductive Day of My Life." I was hoping to get a great night's sleep last night and took some NyQuil, only to have a runny nose and difficulty breathing the whole night. I was so exhausted that I didn't go to class all day, and could not get back to sleep for the life of me. I sat, like a zombie, in my dorm room and watched the time pass. I did nothing productive in any way, shape, or form, except a drawing for Brandon's Christmas present. WOW! My neighbor Missy brought over some medicine that she could not use (due to other medications) and said that it would work wonders. So I took some Robitussin?? tonight and feel much better all ready. I think some of it was also getting to come home with mom. I might have suffered from some mental breakdown if I would have stared at my TV in the dorm any longer. Luckily, there is not much action going on in the HOMEWORK area, so I'm safe there. I also tried to get most of my work finished for my classes last weekend, so it was like a sign... finish your shit, cuz your gonna be sick next week. So I'm pretty glad that I have my powerpoint over the Crucifixion and my seven page paper completed, both for Medieval Art. :) *two thumbs up!<br>After next week, only Monday and Tuesday, and I have break. When Thanksgiving Break is done, one week and four days of finals! WOO WOO! G'night

This mornin'

I woke up early this mornin'. <br>Usually I can sleep until the alarm, well at least I wake up at about 7:57, three minutes before it will go off. This week has been going pretty good. I worked last night, so at least I have some hours for this week. Finally today I will get my schedule since I start training for framing soon. And Thursday I get paid and YIPEE SKIPEE I have a dentist appointment. :*(<br>Classes are going good and I've been keeping up with the program considering we don't have much time left and almost all of my teachers demand some kind of big project soon. For short fiction, my group hasn't even presented on "Because My Father was the only Indian Who Ever Saw Jimi Hendrix Play the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock." Barf that's a long title! (Stick with the short but sweet ones Mike!) Well my group presents for that next week Wednesday and in that same class, we were just given another group assignment. I hate group assignments because we can never plan a time to meet! Well this next assignment is to pick a story or multiple stories and make a movie or a series of pictures, some kind of multimedia presentation and this is our final. We were able to pick our own groups which was good, so I got together with people I usually talk with in class. So hopefully everything will go well and I can arrange more meetings with this group and we can make an awesome movie based from our Short Fiction book.

Work

So I got my schedule for next week... I only work on Sunday at 10:30, which sucks! But the next week I will be trained to be a FRAMER! It will be sweet because I will get a raise and be able to frame my own work. Plus, Michelle and I are going back to NICC next semester. She wants to continue going for Accounting, but for a cheaper price and I'm going for Entrepreneurial Studies so I can open my own art store in Dyersville. So things have been looking up and everyone has been helpful at setting things up for me to come back to NICC. Not too long before Thanksgiving Break and then not too long for Christmas Break! I'm so excited to go to NC for Christmas!!!!!!

It's been a busy week and it's only Monday! I had class this morning and one this afternoon and worked on my paper for Medieval Art. I started taking notes last night after work and finished this morning since I woke up half an hour before my alarm. Then I was able to type it up and finish it a few minutes ago. So now Michelle is going to play her PS2 game and I'm going to take a shower, so we can watch The Hills at 9. Classes are going pretty well, but we are probably getting a new assignment tomorrow for Visual Arts, which will suck!

Homework XD

School has been going pretty good and I have had tons of homework over the past few weeks! I am working on some self portraits for Color Theory, we are always busy for Intro to Visual Language doing drawings and spending hours in the computer lab, we are working on group presentations and many readings in Short Fiction, and in Medieval Art we have a 6-8 pg paper due in a couple weeks, a test next week and a short presentation that I have no idea what to do... so I guess I better get going! At least there's not much going on in Religion!

Mondays...

I'm finally done with classes for the day! Religion was pretty good this morning and went by quickly- of course since it's only 50 minutes. Color Theory was good, we are painting self-portraits which are pretty amazing. And I just got done with Medieval Art, which was terrible. I hate those later classes because I am tired by then, so I was nodding a little in class :P Not much else going on, just waiting for Michelle to get back, even though she has to leave right away for work... And they already hired for the Graphic Design position in Dyersville, but I am going to try for the Dyersville Commercial tomorrow afternoon.
