In Memory Of....

I had this friend, Diane.

Too many words are needed to describe her because she was so amazing, so complex, so vibrant, so enchanting, so smart, so brilliant, so funny, so beautiful, so tall, so talented ...

but I don't feel like words today.

The world lost Diane on Monday of this week. Just two days ago.

She was not old enough to die and yet she did. She wasn't quite 65 years old, and that is way too young to have to say goodbye. I am heartbroken about losing her, and I just wanted to tell you, my cyber-friends and real friends, that I am in mourning for my friend right now.

The photo below was taken at Diane's house probably back around 1998 or '99 or so. It shows, left to right, the late great Muffin Collie-Flower, my beautiful tri-colored collie, who passed away much too young, as well; then there is Diane sitting at the table in her living room where she was hosting us to supper one night; and then, in the white hair, there is my mother, Janet, who passed away in 2001.

All three of these ladies are gone from me. I never thought I'd be including Diane in this list.

I searched through hundreds of photographs I'd taken to find these two pictures of her. They are all I have left of my friend now, except the memories of one amazing lady who shall never be forgotten and will be loved forever.

I'm so sorry she's gone.

Diane, if you are listening now, put the coffee pot on and we'll be seeing you one day again, somehow, somewhere.....

In Sadness and Grief,

Bex & Paul
