Sometimes, when things are looking down and we can't quite pull ourselves up and out of a funk, all we really need is a good hug.

Even though we have no cats living with us at present, that is not to say I am not a cat person. I always had a cat or two with me but with the onset of older age and two large dogs demanding my attention, cats would make my life a bit too difficult right now.

But there could come a day when a cat will grace our home with his or her presence again. When there are no dogs left. I don't think I could live without one or the other.
