Daily Photo Shoot - Day 11

The subject for the Daily Photo Shoot for today, Monday, 11 February 2013 is:

Miscellaneous Doo-Dah

I know it's hard to see really, through the sheer curtains on the sliders, but the arrow on the photo points to the top of the snow out on the back deck:

Snow piled up on the back deck about 20 inches high - tip of blue arrow points to top of snow outside on the deck.

Below was taken out back on the deck the day of the storm just so you can see it clearer.

Paul did go out there and shovel a path from the doors over to the stairs that lead down to the back yard, but the stairs are still full of snow so not sure I could escape even if I wanted to.

Not much of a photo shoot for today. I seem to be running out of steam. So it's just the local items of questionable interest for you today:

Classic Movie for today: Flying Down to Rio, 1933, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers

The Classic Movie on this morning was "Flying Down to Rio with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, 1933."

Classic Movie for today: Flying Down to Rio (Yes, those are women on the airplane wings!)

I had to laugh at the scenes with the scantily clad (for then) women dancing all over the wings of this plane, as if they were really up in the air. So corny... but still, I love an oldie like this.

And who doesn't love to see Fred Astaire throwing his skinny body around a stage like this?

Another early morning spent resting up from the night before:

And then it's time for breakfast. After mentioning my NutriBullet recently in a couple of blogs, I got the yearning for some whizzed-up fruit and veggies, so this was breakfast for me today:

Kip had to keep turning to watch the antics on TV with the old movie and all the chorus girls dancing on the wings of the planes, it really was quite amusing.

The breakfast drink, if anyone cares, was made with some of those nice big Beet Greens that I wasn't sure what to do with. I just chopped them up and put them into the NutriBullet container and then added about a handful each of fresh pineapple, frozen blueberries and strawberries, about 1/4 cup of ground golden flax seed powder, and about 1/2 cup of whole plain sunflower seeds which got ground up in the whizzing procedure but which I could still bite into a bit. Love those seeds. I added about a cup of "Vita Coco Pure Coconut Water with Pineapple."

That's about it. We are having "precipitation" here today. It's more like drizzle, with warmer temps and lots of melting snow going on. Drip-drip-drip from the rooflines. Not a very nice day to be outside. Dogs keep coming back inside all wet and messy, leaving footprints all over the house! Oh well...

Cheers,

Bex & The Gang

Some of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard are:

Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson singing "One More Year"

and "The Quiet Life":

and also "The Making of "Wreck & Ruin" (this is a very good informative video of this couple:)
