what if...

... I got this chair from IKEA - and put it in my Reading Room?

I love this chair. I love the fabric. I love the pattern. It's a slipcover, too, and you can buy other colored slipcovers for this chair. I am so tempted...

Could you see that chair in this room? Where the rocker is here:

The page where I found this chair.

I know it's not as inexpensive as the one Anna told me about, but it's just the type of chair I had in my mind's eye for my reading room. I like the whiteness of it, too, as I have all white woodwork.

Actually I'd like two of them... I don't want much...

The only thing is that I might have to change the rug, which I had wanted to do anyway... to something more plain...and soft, like this:

One more time:

I'll have to think this one over.

The only other thing I have today is that I snipped some forsythia branches off my large plant outside and brought them in (well, Paul did it for me), and I am force-blooming them in the reading room now - for a little spring feeling:

force blooming forsythia - March 1st

force blooming forsythia - March 1st

I might go out there and snip some more. Paul asked me how many I wanted and I said "twenty" at which he balked... but twenty wasn't really enough for two vases... more like forty!

Cheers for a new month, the coming of Spring, and maybe, just maybe, a new chair (or two),

Bex

We can all know every thing without ever knowing why.
It's in every one of us, by and bye.
