After many months of "blurking", I have decided to blog at long last.

I wish I could tell you what prompted me to stop dipping my toes and plunge headlong into the incoming wave...certainly not courage. I have other outlets for what bounces around in my head (those delicious 20 minutes on Sunday mornings, for example).

I guess it's as if there is this marvelous party out there in blogville, and I've only been peering in through the window. I decided to come in, take my coat off, have a drink (just one, though) and see what the party is like.

Sometimes I will think theologically. Sometimes I will ponder parentally. Sometimes I will let off steam. There might even be a surprise appearance by a poem or two.

Time for me to open the door and come in...
