I'm curious as to how the lot of you deal with this question--especially Rev Gals:
Do you send Christmas cards to members of your congregation? Those of you with larger congregations, do you send to some folks but not others? Last year was my first Christmas at St. Stoic. I got *one* Christmas card from a family there. (No, it was not signed by 150 other people.) This year about 10 have trickled in. I am sending Christmas letters to family and close friends, but I don't feel like sending this to the people at St. Stoic. (They know enough about our family already.)I bought a box of cards today, while I was out buying egg nog ingredients so I could answer songbird's Friday Five. I'm seriously considering something I have never done: sending out cards in reply to the ones that come in. That way everybody who sends a card gets one in return. Ordinarily there is something just kind of *ick* to me about that practice, even though I can tell every year that lots of people do it that way. But this year, it just seems like I'm going to break my own rule and do this. What say ye? Read/Post Comments (12) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
