On Rosh Hashannah eve David ate so much honey, he didn't have room for sushi. (Not traditional in case you aren't Jewish and are trying to put all the puzzle pieces together.) I also baked a really good cake, and Rose and I put together sophisticated matching outfits, which was really fun.

On the other hand, dragging David to services was not. We compromised, and I let him wear t-shirt and jeans, and he agreed to behave appropriately, which he did grudgingly. It was kind of funny watching him count how many pages until the end of the service. I have been known to do that.

We were at the children's service, and it became obvious that this was no longer the service for us. I looked around and saw only one other family I knew. It was mostly babes in arms. We will go again for Yom Kipor, and then I don't know what I'll do next year. Let him bring his knitting?
