I was asked to answer the question addressed in this writing well over two months ago. Rather than answer, at the time, I avoided the question and demanded answers to my own questions.

What Freedom Means to me

Freedom has different meanings, depending on which sort of freedom I am referring to, so it is very hard to come up with a single answer. In a broader sense, everyone is free to do whatever they choose to do, and to receive the consequences of those things.

In the less broad sense, to me, it means not being subject to the will of another person or entity. By that, I guess no one is really, truly free, because we are all subject to someone or something else. Actually, the more I look at it, the more I find that my answers are conflicting, and that one answer cancels out another... I guess, the true answer is that I do not know.
The best I can do is to say that freedom is an illusion, and is limited by those who are stronger and/or more powerful than I am. I am only as free as I am permitted to be by those above me, and that is the way it has always been, and the natural way.

I thought I had more of an understanding, until it was challenged, but all my arguments are weak, so I am ready and willing to be teachable, and learn from someone who might have a better idea, if there is anyone who would be willing to teach me.
