Pat, I'd like to buy a vowel because....

OH MY GOD IT'S COLD!

one day it's eighty degrees and the iceback has the air-conditioner on, and the next day it's thirty.

of course, for a skinny white iceback with a hyperactive metabolism who sits outside on the stoop, huskies flanking him, wearing only a t-shirt as the snow falls around him, it's nothing...but for this tarnished southern bell whose metabolism is as slow and lazy as my speech, it's cold!

now the iceback is all hyper and running around, and i'm sluggish and constantly eating.

funny how weather affects different people.

well, it's been a busy week around here. last week sis in law finally had it with her roommates. she hasn't ever gotten along with gavid. he's one of those irresponsible gay guys who gives gay guys a bad name. you know the type. and yes, i'm gonna say it, he's west virginia white trash. listen, i come from a land of white trash, so i know it when i see it.

so anyhow, she's been staying here for the last week, trying to find a new place. i wish she'd just stay here, but she hates living with us, and it's especially difficult since mark hates her cheatin ass boyfriend and cheatin ass boyfriend, tho he wouldn't admit it, is scared of mark. plus, i have to think cheatin ass boyfriend doesn't like the fact that mark has so much influence in her life, tho apparently, not when it comes to cheatin ass boyfriend.

it's been nice having her here. it's hard lots of times being the only female in the house, and i can talk to her about a lot of things and vice versa.

then last weekend, hadi and ibrihama came over for the evening. i miss hadi and she misses us. i was complimenting her bracelet which she said was from africa. i told her it was very pretty(i don't wear much if any jewelry, but i can admire it). next thing i know, she takes it off her arm and puts it on mine. i tell her no, i can't take it, and then she tries to guilt me, why? you don't like african?

lord! she's too sweet for her own good. but then again, she's chided me in the past for being like a man and not wearing jewelry, so it was probably her subtle way of womaning me up...lol

mark had an earache a few days ago. the first night he took thera-flu. the next night we went to fiesta maya and he had thera-brew.

it's taken us over a year to figure it out(yeah, right), but we need to ask for the check one beer before we're ready to stop drinking. i swear, when we get our check, ruban's only charged us for six when we've had eight and then he gives us another one on top of that.

apparently, thera-brew is strong stuff, because mark's earache was completely gone the next morning.

the wednesday before thanksgiving is ruban's annual party. because most of his friends and family work in the restaurant business, thanksgiving is the only day they all have off.

we went last year, but it was tough, because after a few beers and tequilla(which you have to drink even before you enter the party), i was feeling quite rough the next morning as i got up at 8 am to start thanksgiving dinner.

this year, we've decided to eat around six at night, so i'll have a little recovery time.

ruban's parties are always lots of fun, and everyone is so nice. but one thing his parties have taught me is...

white girls can't dance!
