i'm not sure...

i really have much to say, but by-golly, i'm feeling the need to write something.

tonight was a great sunset. granted, not as good as last night's, which i didn't get shots of, but i got shots tonight and ain't it pretty? (up top!)

i feel so blessed to live here. I LOVE IT. i don't think i'd want to live anywhere else, seriously. i'm not supposed to tell anyone, but this is one of the most affordable, "on the beach" locations to live. hell yeah, i'm very thankful i found this spot.

it's funny, cause the rent here is cheap (hence i can afford it) and the place isn't the Hilton, for God's sake, but it's not that bad (uh really, i come from arkansas and i've seen bad places to live...where trailer parks abound) at all (the place in green cove springs was a nice place as far as location, but i thought the apartment itself, although a "townhome" ((in the loosest sense of the word)) was quite crappy) and honestly...honestly, i now live TWO blocks from the beach and what is really COOL is i can see shuttles and rocket launches FROM MY BALCONY.

however, last night i stumbled on a review of the place i live now... (done in sept '08 when i was already living here.) it was too funny, so i thought i'd share it with one and all.

They have ignored fixing my leaking toilet for 3 years. The airconditioner is in the wall -oh yes-but it has "airducts" to circulate through the rooms. The electric that cost $200 a month to keep air running in the summer. So don't kid yourself to think that this is a "good deal" a "cheap place" to live this close to the beach.
You would think that paying your rent ON TIME for FOUR YEARS the staff would care enough to take you seriously when you say you have MOLD...yet they come in and the idiots CAULKED MY VENTS!!! Oh I forgot to mention that the whole damn complex which is far more than 100 units without Palms East included share only 8 washers and 8 dryers!!! What the frick is that!!! I think these Wells boys are greedy SOBs.
Their office hours are 10am to 5pm, so anyone who works doesn't have the time to take off work to go. They are the most incompetant staff when they answer the phones and the acutal workers that come out to "fix" things don't fix anything besides the fact that they are not even qualified for repairmen.
Someone needs to give Wells Boys a swift kick in the ass so that they would just bulldose these shitholes down and build new complexes or just make into a retirement home for those who can't afford real retirement homes
.

LOL...i've actually seen less roaches here than in the green cove springs place. they were EVERYWHERE there and it seriously grossed me out. no matter what i did, i couldn't get rid of them. it was horrible!

but not so much here at all. just an occasional straggler. nothing more. geez, i saw more when i worked at the bookstore in the mall back in the 70's.

as for the office staff...always helpful. as for getting repairs done in a timely manner...just as good as most places. i have central heat and air, apparently mine was the first building to get that done. most all have been done now, save maybe two buildings.

but the thing that made me chuckle the most is the sentences i have bolded.

seriously...get this guy a job as a writer or ranter or something 'cause he gave me the best chuckle i've had in a long time (ok, well, netta-humor excluded)

lol...this guy doesn't have much experience with apartments, cause most of the people that come to "fix" stuff in your apartment don't really know how to "fix" things. this place at least has designated "fixers" meaning they have a guy who does nothing but plumbing, one that does nothing but air-conditioning and a girl who does nothing but "fix" the minor things (such as "i need a new lightbulb") i've NEVER had that before. usually it's one guy who has to know it all and doesn't specialize, then on top of that, he's stretched over the same amount of units as we have here.

someone pissed in his post-toasties. LOL

btw, this weekend is the grand opening of our new laundry mat. free washes and dries for all. i'm not sure i will capitalize on that (and really, our new laundry mat is .50 cents cheaper than the ones across the street for the Palms East that he mentioned) because i'm going fishing (no, not me personally 'cause lala here don't fish) and shooting the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean down in Cocoa Beach.

Oh hell yeah, i love my new home.

(pssssst...suck on that! you know who you are)
