I'm putting it here anyway.

I put out a new ebook (still Kindle only) titled THE STRIKER FILES.

Here's the story: I wrote a "vampire detective" story called DEAD OR ALIVE back in the 1990's when I was participating in writing contests on Delphi's THE BOOK AND CANDLE PUB. It was around 2500 words. It wasn't received all that well, if I recall correctly. I think part of that was I truncated the story quite a bit because of forum length restrictions, and even then it didn't fit in one post - I think I split it into two or even three posts back then.

I pulled it out a few times over the years, and the last time I reread it, I thought that maybe with some rewriting and added scenes and a few more characters I might have something worth reading. So I started rewriting and ended up going to about 7400 words. I published it as a Kindle short story at that time.

As I rewrote it, I realized that there was some more tales to tell in this world - some backstory for the missing girl, for one. Also I realized that I left my detective driving into the night, and I wondered about him. So I wrote another story called NIGHT FAMILY (about 8400 words) and then a third story called RICK'S RULES (about 9200 words) and suddenly I had three stories all set in the same universe telling different parts of the same story. I published each of them individually, and had them priced at a buck.

It was suggested to me by SF/thriller author Steven M. Moore that I had enough words for a novella, and so I put out a compilation edition, with all three stories, and priced it at $2.99. (Comes in 1 penny less than buying the three stories individually.) I also added a "bonus" story called GARAGE SALE. It's something over 2000 words and is unrelated to the Striker world.

If anyone is interested, feel free to check it out on Amazon. Here's the link: THE STRIKER FILES

Thanks for at least looking at it!
