Words-of-Mine

No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.

Glorious Rain

Mood:
Happy

I woke up this morning to rain. But then, it stopped. The sun came out and played hide and seek with the clouds. Then more rain. Gosh I hope it rains all day.

Mr. F had bad news for me, NBC, which has aired all the Sunday Night Football games all year, is NOT playing the Super Bowl. How could we have not known this?

Hearing this news puts my mood in with the weather. A gray spirit with a gray day.

Mr. F gets on the computer and begin research and learns the game is to be broadcasted on the FOX channel. Around here, FOX is not a free channel. Drats!

But wait, in doing more research Mr. F finds that FOX is going to make an exception and stream the game on the computer. Hooray, there is a Higher Spirit!

Please excuse all the exclamation points here. I love football and I miss so much of it as it is without having cable and satellite that I lived for the Sunday Night football games on NBC.

With Mr. F's knowledge he suggests we go into town to Best Buy and to check out the gadgets that stream info from the computer to the TV. We get ready and head out the door.

Heading down the road this is the weather we have now.

Rainy Day

This is pretty much the same farther down the road at the intersection.

Lovely Rain

As you can tell it is a very leaden morning. It is a pretty good down pour and I hope it keeps up during the day as we can surely use the rain.

At the store we meet up with a staffer that is very knowledgeable about this computer to TV streaming stuff and we learned lots. One of the things is that we could get by without buying a load of paraphernalia.

The main item was to buy a special cable, an HDMI, and this streams online viewing from the computer straight to the TV. Hoo hoo!

So with FOX being ever so generous to the poor folk who can't go to the game and sit in the cold, we are going to be able to be in the comfort of our own living room with our relatively inexpensive treats and no lines to the bathroom!

Well, we did come away with two cables, a Roku, and a wireless keyboard. Whooo doggies. Get us out of this store.

What a surprise when we came out of the store, this is what we found.

After the Rain

What a change from an hour earlier. I also include a different view of Hollister Peak for you. Can you tell this is one of my favorite peaks in our valley.

Hollister Peak After the Rain

So, now Mr. F is hooking up the new stuff and I need to hand over the computer in preparation of the game.

Happy football everyone.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."
