I had to take a valium earlier as I fell into panic and now I'm woozy, so notes:
1. ED's operation will be next Wednesday
2. She is still sleepy, but described by the nurse I spoke to as alert at times. When YD visited her this afternoon ED barely woke up.
3. I had acupuncture today and it settled me down a treat (until the later panic, but maybe even that was a genuine expression of something that I am feeling at some level all the time, and therefore better out than in)
4. Nah - that's all I got
5. Apart from some Vick's vapour rub, which smells like getting better
6. I'm singing "Come on ED" in my head, over and over, sending it directly from my head to hers, to the tune of bloody Dexy's "Come on Eileen"
I am grateful for: making it through to the end of the day; having a date for the op; the kindness of strangers; valium; heating, on a frosty November night
