God doesn't say, "here ya go, you're due for a stroke of good luck" or "not this time, pal." God doesn't interfere. God doesn't help people--God helps people help themselves. God is of the mind. God is rocks. God is trees and clouds. God, to me, is ripples made by my crying niece turned happy on the phone this morning. God is colors. God is the bright side of things. God is the world beyond that of one small mind. God is the potential for life, even when one envisions herself dying with her foot in her mouth. God is the cleanse of the blink, the harmony of the breath. God is the only constant.
