(Okay, okay, I know there are some teachs out there batting the ding but...)

From today's Wash Post:

The District school system is investigating allegations that a teacher at a Southeast elementary school showed sixth-grade students excerpts of the R-rated movie "The Passion of the Christ."

The teacher at Malcolm X Elementary, whose name was not released, was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, said William Wilhoyte, an assistant superintendent who oversees the school. The excerpts of the movie, a violent depiction of the last hours of Jesus's life, allegedly were shown Tuesday during a lunch period, Wilhoyte said.

"I can think of no occasions that a 12-year-old should be in a school-sponsored activity viewing an R-rated film," Wilhoyte said.

Apart from everything else, a bootleg? Having just come back from Mexico, I can tell you that it is a damn shame for kids to be forced to watch film of this low a quality. (And that's not even getting into the non-bootleg problems.)

Night.
