Today we're re-recording two lines of Larry's dialogue (a spoken passage, nothing sung). Once it's slugged into place, the film's done. We thought the film was done before, but feedback from a few viewers convinced us that dialogue replacement was necessary in one very short passage—the very last scene, the last thing God says. Which is kind of important.

That will be the end of CREDO as a piece of art, and the beginning of CREDO as a piece of career—but not yet! First, there's a period of neurotic doldrums. The director will become antsy. He'll suddenly drum his fingers. He'll suddenly stand and pace. He'll suddenly bounce iffy ideas off his collaborators. He'll read and post on other people's blogs obsessively. This will last for months, until the first film festival acceptance.

The in-betweens are the worst part. Until the world comes back with an answering kiss, we're declaring our love blindfolded. We might be in a room full of people stifling their laughter—it might all be a practical joke. Or we might hear the one voice, the one we dream of, saying I love you too and taking our hand to lead us into another room...

No risk, no kiss.

No risk, no ridicule.

I will now stand and pace.
