Thinking as a Hobby

Okay, so William Gibson has a blog now (via Electrolite), apparently as some sort of promotional tool.

I guess he's assuming that everyone who visits has read all of his books, because he includes a spoiler of All Tomorrow's Parties in this first entry.

He also plays upon his Luddite reputation (I've never quite understood SF writers who proudly trumpet their ignorance of technology, their unwillingness to own a computer, etc.). Gibson apparently wrote Neuromancer, one of the seminal works of 20th century SF, on a Hermes 2000 manual typewriter.

Anyway, if you're a Gibson fan, or even if you're not, should be interesting to peek in every now and then.
