Saddam's Fantasy Art

It appears that Saddam Hussein enjoyed fantasy art (though I don't remember ever seeing him in a Con art room).

Here's a gallery of some of the art found recently, courtesy the BBC.

I think I recognize #5 from an Omni cover in the mid-80s, but I'm certainly not a SF/fantasy art buff by any stretch.

Anybody else recognize these?

Meanwhile, Saddam's son Uday, enjoyed pictures as well, albeit a slightly different kind.

The walls of a gym were plastered with photographs of women downloaded from the Internet -- "the biggest collection of naked women I'd ever seen,” said Army Capt. Ed Ballanco of Montville, N.J.

And remember, this is a soldier. From New Jersey. And this is the biggest collection of naked women he's seen? Must have been impressive.

And in the category of things that make you go "Ew":

Among the photos were some of Jenna and Barbara Bush, President George W. Bush's 21-year-old daughters, "dressed up very nice in evening clothes,” Ballanco said.

Ew.
