This guy, who is being put to death for gunning down an abortion doctor, sounds eerily like the fuckers who smashed into the World Trade Center:

"I believe that the moment I'm executed, that my soul will be made perfect in holiness, and I will be in the immediate presence of the Lord, and I will be forever with him. So I'm looking forward to that," Hill said Tuesday.

Yeah, you keep on looking forward to that, buddy. I think there's a greater liklihood that the moment you're executed, it's going to be like the end of one of those old cartoons, where the pig stutters goodbye and the screen spirals to black. You'll be in the immediate presence of jack-squat and some low-level functionaries are going to put you in a box and bury you out back.

I'm not a fan of the death penalty, but at least we don't have to worry about this guy being wrongly convicted. He's not exactly protesting his innocence.

And it makes me think that what we really need, perhaps in tandem or perhaps in place of the War on Terrorism, is a War on Fundamentalism. And how about a Department of Skepticism and Critical Thinking?
