Ralph Nader says he wants to know
your opinion on a few things, namely whether or not he should run.
Here's what I told him:
1. Would you support a Ralph Nader candidacy for President regardless of who the Democrats or Republicans nominate?
No
2. Is there any declared candidate for President that if they were to win the nomination would make you unlikely to support a Ralph Nader candidacy?
No
3. Have you ever, or would you vote for a third party or independent candidate?
Yes
*4. May the Nader 2004 Presidential Exploratory Committee Contact you?
Yes
Please feel free to express your opinion further in the box below:
For quite a while now, I've wished that there were a strong third party to counterbalance the entrenched two-party American system. Unfortunately, the current crop are disappointing, including the Greens (whom I see as simply more liberal, environmentally-focused Democrats).
I would like to see a third party that is truly socially liberal (pro-choice, anti-handgun, anti-death penalty, strong separation of church/state, etc.) but fiscally conservative (fewer entitlements, increased privatization of traditionally government programs like Social Security, lower taxes, etc.). Again, I do not feel that the Greens are this party, and accordingly I would not vote for Ralph Nader.
Well...he asked.
