I'm a DISH Network customer, and because of a pricing dispute with content provider Viacom, they've blacked out a number of stations, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and my local CBS station.

The CEO of DISH is appealing to customers to write to Viacom and pressure them to offer lower fees. Hey, if they think the fees are too high, negoiate. But it's more important to me to stick with a service that isn't going to black out some of the programming when they can't settle a dispute.

With satellite, you sign on to a 1-year agreement when you join. They say they'll provide the coverage you sign up for. Now they're breaking that agreement.

So I wrote the CEO of DISH and told him to cut a damn deal.

And honestly, I wouldn't give a crap if it were just MTV, BET, and Nick. But Comedy Central? That's going too far. I've got to have my Daily Show.
