Eric Mayer Byzantine Blog Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing. |

2006-02-26 11:26 PM Remembering Christmas in February Most of the headlines recalled Darren McGavin, who just passed away, for his role in Kolchak: the Nightstalker, but CNN at least remembered him as the grumpy father in one of the great films of all time -- A Christmas Story. Who can forget how he kept saying saying %##@*%#!! pretty much literally, or the immortal leg lamp? (I guess I negelected to mention the movie in my recent list because I generally try to put Christmas out of my mind during the few months of the year we're allowed to).
You might want to take a moment to experience A Christmas Story again, as performed by bunnies: Among other favorites, perfomed by the floppy earred thespians are: Star Wars, Its a Wonderful Life, The Shining, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and everybody's favorite The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
