Probably the only vaguely interesting thing about me is that with my wife, Mary Reed, I co-author the John the Eunuch mystery series set in sixth century Constantinople. But that doesn't stop me from dwelling here on the boring minutiae of the rest of my life, present and past, along with the occasional word about writing.

There is no pleasure to me without communication: there is not so much as a sprightly thought comes into my mind that it does not grieve me to have produced alone, and that I have no one to tell it to.

A ProFile

I'm always reluctant to start a new JournalScape month and clear out all those accumulated titles that make it look like I've actually got something done.

However...first taking a deep breath...here's a bit of news from Steve Lewis at MYSTERY*FILE, the crime fiction research Journal:

With Ed Gorman’s gracious consent, I will be taking over his series of ProFile interviews with (we hope) a long list of contemporary crime and detective fiction authors. The first to appear in this new sequence are the husband-and-wife co-authors of the “John the Eunuch” historical mystery series.

If you're interested in mysteries, take a look at Steve's site. It includes, columns, articles profiles, interviews, reviews, checklists and even letters from readers!
