Mood:
So-So

So my back is still bugging me, so I might get it checked out soon, because My friend Josh had Kidney problems a few months ago and I am pretty much similar in shape and size to him. I may have the same problems, of course I had my gall bladder abducted by aliens a year and a half ago. Okay, The positives if it is something like Kidney stones is that I get an excuse to use drugs. I enjoyed the morphine and percoset when I had my Gall Bladder thing. Only there wasn't enough of it. I probably just have a sore back.
Need exercise.
I met with my thesis director and she wants me to be more myself in my poems. Use more slam poems, more outrageousness and less poems that try to be "poetic"
That's a good thing. Except it is hard to do what I do on demand. I can only be outrageous when I am totally comfortable and oh Bullshit. I need intense stress to be outrageous. No, no no. I am naturally outrageous. What a quandary? what the fuck is a quandary? Why am I swearing so much? Stress. I also have to grade my students' papers this week. Also the Slam semifinals are this week, and I decided to do three new ones, rather than old standards. First of all, I have not memorized any this year, and second, I feel better doing fresh ink. It could work. Last year I had all my stuff memorized and didn't make the team. Then again, three of the four that did make it had their pieces memorized. I guess I am slightly more apathetic. I want to make the team, but I don't want to devote too much energy to it. It's just a fokken slam! Well, Any how. Besides that, the NAZ bookfest is this week. Marvin Bell, Joy Harjo, Rudofo Anaya, and many others are going to be reading. I am also part of a showcase slam in Sedona that Christopher Lane is putting together. It should be fun. C ya!
