No talking while other students are talking

Office Hours- Tentative. While I am at the office a lot, your best bet is to make an appointment with me, or email me or stop by Cafe Espresso Roma where I spend a lot of time during the day.

Attendance policy strictly adhered to.

Grading Philosophy. Rather than simply grade papers and hand them back to you with a bit of hard to read scrawl, I have assigned class time to conferencing. In these mandatory conferences, you get feedback from me about your writing as well as knowledge of your grade. If you miss a conference, you can not make it up. You will be counted as absent for that day. During conference weeks class is not held. You have to show up for your conference on time, and spend the rest of the week reading a chapter from our text book

The Final Paper may be an expansion of Paper 3.

Final Exams are not given, still I am required to meet, so for those of you who need extra time on the portfolio, this is for you. You may hand in all work to me ahead of time and then you will not be required to attend the final. I will probably be in my office during our scheduled final exam so you can hand in the portfolio to me there.

Portfolios must be neat, polished, and orderly. They need not be fancy, a manila file folder will do, or a simple pocket folder. Do not expect to get your portfolio returned to you.
