Well, I just got back from watching the fireworks on the strip alone. I was actually at the Thomas and Mack Lot. In 1991, I was depressed, paranoid, lonely, and wasn't doing too well in college... but I was writing songs and I tried stand up comedy, and went to a lot of punk shows In 1992 I started to go to Poetry Alive. I met lots of friends. I also got my picture in a paper or two. in 1993 I got a driver's license and a job in 1994 I got to sing at Lollapalooza, in the Mud Baron Tent, quit smoking and fell in love. In 1995, I lost my love, but started going to school first time. 1n 1997 I was student worker of the Year In 1999 I started going to Danna's poetry nights. I was friends with karen In 2000 I graduated and got into NAU and got an assistantship, I also put out a chapbook with Karen, Rick and Shelley. in 2001 I got to go to Seattle as an alternate for the Flagstaff Team. I got 2 cats. In 2002 I got my own car, got an M.A. degree, Made the slam team, got my name on a bridge, and moved back to Las Vegas where I am teaching college part time full time for part time wages. Yay. 1n 1999 I lost 60 pounds getting down to 205 pounds in 2000 I gained all that weight back and had a gallbladder removal operation in 2002 I ballooned out to 310 pounds. I got Gout and I got invited to read at Urbana, home of the best slam team 2 of the last 3 years. |
