Boardwalk You can't step in the same river twice said Heraclitus At which the students all giggled or tittered And I said...it's all Greek to me The day flew by I went to weight watchers and lost 3 ounces Then my brother and me scarfed on popcorn As we saw the purge:anarchy Watching The days go by Water flowing under Under the Boardwalk There were lovers Now there are homeless people And dead people And soon, we all will be there Singing along But grunting like zombies since We are dead The river has huck and jim But also has a mule A baptism And if you can't swim You can't even step in the same river once But if you say the name Heraclitus They will laugh embarassedlike I wonder how many of us have found our Heraclitus.... |
