I wanted to be the best that I could be But hit a brick wall on my way Always hoping that serendipity Would carry me through my journey But the world is falling away The bills unpaid pile higher The abyss I'm in is endless The bills fly with me for eternity I know I will end up dead But first must go through pain And so I will cauterize my wounds What I cannot so easily explain If one word here comforts or irks Then I have done my work |
