Today, pretty much on a whim, Tim and I adopted a new kitten. The Pet Food Express in Monclair has feral cat adoption every Sunday, so you'd think since we resisted this long we'd be immune, but for some reason today Tim said, "Let's do it." and since he's usually the only thing holding me back, we did.

You can see photos and read more about her on my Flickr account here. The short version: she's adorable, only two months old, very sweet-tempered yet full of self-confidence. Our older two cats? They are so pissed off. Marzi tried to make friends, or at least didn't sniff, but this was after Zanzi had hissed at the new girl for awhile so the little one just hissed at Marzi's inquiries. Sigh. This will be a long, slow process, trying to get everyone to get along enough so that we don't have to confine the kitten to the bedroom when we're not watching closely.

We named her Freybug. Yes, that was the name of one of my World of Warcraft characters. What can I say? It's cute, it's cool and it fits her perfectly.

We just love our new little girl!
