After too many viewings of James Bond movies in my youth, when I was at a shopping mall or anywhere there were a lot of people, I used to imagine that I was a secret agent, trailing suspected spys involved in dangereous subterfuge.

I'd follow them around, observing their actions and movements from a distance, while trying to remain undiscovered.

Of course, people not expecting to be followed aren't going to "discover" anyone.

I carried on with this off and on for a number of years, getting some sort of immature thrill out of "spying" on people, observing their behaviors, like there was something special about them walking around doing their mundane daily business without their knowledge.

I suppose this is probably the genesis of most voyuers, as they become more enticed and trapped by that thrill.

Me, I moved on to other fictions.

But I still enjoy a good spy film.
