I was reading an article mentioning that 20% of Americans have passports, and it made me wonder what percentage have actually used them.

20% seems sadly low. I think there's a corelation between how much Americans have had to deal with people who aren't just like them, and what I like to call "good behavior" towards the outside world.

Of the 80% percent that don't have passports, I wonder how many haven't travelled more than 100 miles from their place of birth. Or less even.

I think I'd be shocked to know.
