Being rejected sucks

Do you risk the crushing truth of rejection by admitting your feelings about someone?

Is it better to commit a lie of omission rather than risk a friendship?

Do you let your feelings eat you up inside, to keep a glimmer of fantasy alive?

Does the rejection say more about you or them?

Or does it mean anything at all?

How "obvious" is obvious?

How are you supposed to know for sure?

No. Yes. Yes. Neither. Who knows? You'd be surprised what obvious messages get missed. You never can, even after they say so.

Life is so F'ing complicated.
