I've noticed with a few specific people I find myself reading things they've written over, and over, and over, and over.

As if there's some additional meaning or insight into them I can gain from microscopically analyzing each word or sentence fragment.

And it's not like I'm dissecting poetry or dramatic works, but just everyday conversations, the mundane prose of normal existance. Like I could understand them better by some sort of hyperfocus on every syllable.

Of course, this says way more about me than anything that's actually in these communications, and I get that. I'm just trying to figure out what it says.

I want to understand them but am trying just too damn hard in a way which will never really work? I think that's really it.
