I think god is trying to tell me something like "yep, you should be in portland"

and this is why:

1. everyone I know sends me email saying "I have this friend/relative/ex-babysitter who lives in Portland and you should look her/him up because they are really nice..."

2. every day I am here I see at least one asian/caucasian couple with kids.

3. there's a street nearby called SW Kirsten.

4. just after my parents left, we were walking past the leasing office and a caucasian lady with obviously biracial kids gives me the "I am interested in you" look. I drift over and we start talking. It turns out she recognizes my name from MIJ, has two children approximately M&M's age, just moved here a month or so ago from Japan, and is thinking of renting at this apartment complex. Weird, eh? Did I forget to mention she's from Ohio?

5. Beaverton Farmer's market (today for breakfast we went there and had deep fried organic asparagus, belgian waffles with strawberries, coconut gelato, and bratwurst w/sauerkraut for breakfast. very dangerous place)
