Thanksgiving

I thank thee Lord for an oven that will hold a turkey. I thank thee for cranberries and sage not to be ordered specially but available in the local grocery store.

I thank thee for Naoto having the day off on this holiday. I thank thee for Naoto's ability to watch football on tv that wasn't recorded the night before at 3am.

I thank thee for Mia finally saying she'll try the Turkey.

I thank thee Lord for being able to gather with friends of both Japanese and U.S. heritage (and not have to explain Thanksgiving to the Brits and Aussies) in a house large enough for all the people to fit in at one time.

I thank thee Lord for a Thanksgiving where I don't have to pick out turkey from in between cracks in the Tatami mats.

Best wishes on this holiday.
