With Naoto gone this week, I didn't actually have time to feel lonely.

My friend Tina took me to happy hour, my friend Heather stayed over two nights because she had toxic glazes on her new wooden floor, I went out with girl1's preschool mothers, and had a neighborhood WOJ (wife of a japanese man) over for wine in the evening. And getting together with another women writer friend who paints faces at festivals for a living and so was very good with the girls.

I could get used to this.

It feels so incredibly good to be surrounded by people who make it a point to invite you out when your husband is out of town.

I heart Portland.
