2008 Books #11 Iron Dragon's Daughter

Michael Swanwick is a name I come across a lot, but have never read, strangely enough.

I thought it time to educate myself, so I picked up his 1994 book Iron Dragon's Daughter.

Wow. It was....um....strange. Like reading cyberpunk with fairies. Only not nice faeries. Sex-obsessed, grim, mean fairies. I have to say that I admired his world, but didn't feel satisfied by the main character's story arc. So much, for me, was left unexplained and unresolved. On the other hand....wow, images from the book will stay with me for a while.
