2008 Books #33 Jaz Parks: Once Bitten, Twice Shy

And so I continue surfing the wave of vampire fiction...

Once Bitten Twice Shy was enjoyable. Jaz (the CIA agent with a tragic past so she is afraid of emotional commitment now) was good. Her vampire boss, Vayl, had somewhat nebulous powers (I hate ill defined powers) and human-like phobias (he was afraid of snakes, which was endearing).

There was a little less in the romance department then I liked. Or actually, there was romance, but not as physical as I would have like it, let's say.

There was a complicated plot involving betrayal, and side characters that were intriguing and had the potential to play larger parts in the future.

But....but....it just didn't grab me. It was okay, not spectacular.
