Strange how things gel together

I ego surf occasionally when I am working. And I am not surprised when I come across links back to my Bicultural Bedtime website here and there on the interwebs.

Most often, its a link to the Japanese lullabies. There's even fan fiction and original anime-related fiction out there that reference or use the translations on my website of some traditional Japanese lullabies.

But yesterday was the first time I found a Japanese-style fiction referencing one of the English lullabies I posted.

Strange, eh? And then this morning there was an email (I get one about every two months or so) from someone who had stumbled on the Bicultural Bedtime website looking for the lullaby "Shule Aroon" or as I put it, "Shoo la roo" because their mother sang it to them when they were small.

Isn't it strange how certain things in your life can go unnoticed and unacknowledged for a long time, and then suddenly pop up with additional meaning at random points in your life?

Or is it just that they have those meanings all the time and our brains are so busy we only can notice it once in a while?
