September 11

September in the US is the beginning of the school year. For those of us with children, caught up in the whirlwind of school supplies, new teachers, new grades, making friends, figuring out car pool schedules, I think alot of the horror of 9/11 is that it dropped a bomb into the hopeful beginnings of a new year.

So I'm not gonna let things explode this year. These are my girls. I love them. We're alive and together.

And in memory of those who are not, I think I will try to be just a little more patient, a little less critical, a little more willing to be wrong and geeky today.

Let's up the ration of kindness in the world just this one day.
