Another review for Tiger Lily

Second Review for Tiger Lily seems to like the Japanese period details but is frustrated with the slowness of the relationship building.

"While sometimes the development of the romance felt a bit slow and frustrating to me, it was also true to who the characters were and the time frame the story was set in. Plus, each character had secrets which led to a compelling tension as their relationship drew closer. I found myself wanting to know what happened with them next."

Strangely enough, I am often frustrated by slow, YA relationships, too!

I'm always like "why are they so busy fighting monsters when they could be shooting eachother longing glances."

I won't be reacting to every single review like this, because it isn't healthy for writerly mentality, but I'm giving myself permission to react to the first three.
