I'm still sick, but I managed to have a lovely weekend. I deserved one after my students teased me all week. They laughed when my voice squeaked and said that I sounded like a guy. Sigh. I get no respect.

Aaron was here on business, and it was good to see him. On Friday night, Greg and I, along with Mark and Bob, went to see Rush in concert. I enjoy Rush, as they are great musicians. But I almost enjoy watching all of the ecstatic men at the concert more. Rush is a band with a predominantly male audience. That audience is aging, and it's fun to watch 40-50 year old men be transported back to their teenage years. And you just can't beat an outdoor concert that starts with a duststorm.

Yesterday, Greg, Steve, and I went to the Diamondbacks game. It was a great game, and the D-backs clinched the National League West. It was our first time at a D-backs game, and we got to see the World Series trophy! I never thought I'd get the chance to see one of those up close. It was in a display case with Luis Gonzales' series-winning ball and Schilling and Johnson's jerseys from the final game. So cool.

And the 49ers did not lose today. They didn't win, either(bye-week). However, the Rams lost again, bringing them to 0-4. Tee-hee. Can't finish off the weekend better than that.
