When I think about the vastness of everything in the universe and my tiny place in it, it feels like I am this chimp looking at this camera, curious as to what it is, but incapable of understanding how it works. Entertained by it at times, frustrated by it at other times, and even occassionally bored with it. Furthermore, if, as this chimp, I were ever shown what was being recorded by the camera, would I understand it? Would I feel that it captured the depth of my experience with the camera? Would I wish that it captured a different picture? Or would I just disregard it altogether?
