the Tao of trampolines

Imagine a trampoline.

Following the Tao and accumulating virtue makes one spiritually heavy. One finds the Tao by being still.

If someone is still and heavy on a trampoline, they end up in the center of the trampoline. They end up there without making any effort. This position also keeps them the safest from falling off!

Most people use the trampoline to jump. They jump and they jump, but soon they get tired.

The heavier the person in the middle is (the firmer they are with the Tao), the less they will be moved around while the rest of the people jump. They will obviously move as the trampoline moves, but they will move with the trampoline, not against it.

As the people who are jumping get tired, they either get off the trampoline, or they lie down on the trampoline and eventually find themselves gravitating towards the person in the middle.

The follower of the Tao, when this is all finished, finds themselves full of the same energy as they had when they first got on.

And, it should be noted, they had just as much fun!
