When the mind's mirror is focused inward, our egos are amplified. Our faults, fears, pride, and ambition are all magnified. This effect is so powerful it even influences how we view all of humanity. As we experience fear, humanity is to be feared. As we judge, humanity is to be judged.

When the mind's mirror points outward, our egos weaken. Our faults, fears, pride, and ambition are all minimized. What is outside comes into focus, what is inside lightens. Our fears no longer guide us because the path is always out there.
