Ralph Nader has an open letter to Michael Moore posted on his website. While I agree with some of it, it REEKS of petty bullshit that I thought Ralph Nader was above.

He brings up some valid claims that Michael Moore seems to have dramatically switched his stances on candidates, and isn't outright endorsing Ralph Nader. Michael Moore has taken a more, voting Kerry/Edwards and getting Bush out as soon as possible. So in many ways, Moore's position is similar to...mine. GASP!

But at the end of the letter, he talked of Michael Moore mingling "the people born to the purple and other nouveau riche, you’ll still wear your working clothes and keep your cap on real tight as you bend to the wind."

Ralph Nader should be the last person to talk about mingling with people of influence as a bad thing. Ralph himself was born into a wealthy family, and continues to this day to be one extremely wealthy individual.

And what's up with Ralph Nader harping on Michael Moore because of his weight? Isn't this shit petty? I thought Nader was above this crap! You'd better believe that if Moore endorsed Nader, he'd be all about Michael Moore again.

But I read an interesting article about Nader the other day in Salon. It was part smear piece/part investigative journalism. It basically just said that Ralph Nader has been known to have a bit of a dictator-esque managing technique and has been known to be vindictive once or twice to those who "cross" them. Like one person who not only worked with Nader for years and years, but also happened to be a close confidante of Nader's, was given a rather unsatisfactory review by Nader when that person applied for a job with the FBI. And there are other numerous accounts of similar type acts where he's been kinda...

*see subject line*

It's also kinda sad that he's now taken to ripping into the Green Party because they didn't endorse him this time. I honestly thought that he was above this type of crap.

Oh well. I'm not voting for him anyhow so it doesn't really matter. If he trully thinks that there is no difference between the Dems and the Reps, then he's pretty delusional at this point.

matt out
