Dream Interpretation

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people describe their dreams to me. When someone excitedly comes to me and says, "I had the weirdest dream last night," I almost instantaneously shut my mind off. I used to try to listen, but most people's dream descriptions are usually pointless ramblings that make very little sense to third parties. Just because it was cool in your head as it happens doesn't mean that it's going to be cool to me.

So I'm not going to sit here and write out any specific dream sequence that's happened to me...

But the other night, I had a dream that I was being chased by Jason Voorhees (the one with the hockey mask). This is nothing new. Actually, having a dream where I'm being chased by Jason is one of my few recurring dreams. But what made this dream extra cool, at least after the fact, was that Freddy Krueger came along.

I've dreamt that I was in the Star Wars Universe and I've dreamt that I was stuck on the LOST island, but I've never had the awesome opportunity to be chased by the one, the only Dream Master.

Does anyone want to take a crack at interpreting that one?

I don't know that I buy most "dream interpretations" that I've ever read. They all seem very cheesy and fortune cookie-esque. As if a dream about eating glass is really supposed to comment on the fragility of one's life. Why can't a dream about eating glass just be a dream about eating glass?

Who knows?

...pointless post.
