me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

It's a big shoe

What IS this woman up to? That, ladies and gents, is one of Yao Ming's game-worn shoes. Size 18. Bought it -- and its mate, yes, the pair -- at a charity auction for the Museum of Chinese in the Americas, who have been very helpful to me.

What else? For those of you just tuning in, my other big news is that Bantam will bring out my dark 9/11 book, ABSENT FRIENDS, sometime next year. I'm thrilled beyond words to be with them and already at work on the one to follow, another stand-alone. Then back to the Lydia Chin/Bill Smith series.

I'm just getting used to this blogging thing so this will be short. I'll probably find it irresistible to go on and on and on as I get into it.
